It started off a means to show the audience what occurs before opening night, which meant that I started taking photos of rehearsals to create a slide show in the lobby. From there I took a photography class and began taking production photos during rehearsals, dress rehearsals, focus, the shops, various areas of the production. These photos were not only used for a lobby display but also used on social media as a way of promoting our productions and the work that we do on stage, backstage, and in the classroom. These photos have been used for publicity/promotional materials, webpages and portfolios. More importantly, it has been a great way to develop my skills as a director through composition, storytelling and picturization.
